47-49 South Water St. [According to local oral history this was a sailors' mission, i.e. City Point Mission, which later became the Howard Ave. Methodist Church.]

    Great photo - If I'm not mistaken - this house has the oldest grape vine - still extant in City Point - in their back garden.

    Also one of the best historically-sensitive exterior restoration jobs in the "historic district" portion of City Point. A good example of the sort of restoration/preservation that an historic district is supposed to stimulate, but alas is not happening in City Point's.
