"New Urbanism" perhaps also could be called "Old Urbanism", because it's all about rediscovering how cities worked before cheap gas, interstate highways, suburban sprawl, white-flight, big-box chain stores, and mega-malls, all subsidized by state & federal governments led by the nose [and, at times, paid "under-the-table"] by inept, self-serving "planners". Working to improve a neighborhood like City Point means working to improve the city in which it's located.
